It's funny how I used to think every investor went broke during recessions, meanwhile some made millions. I also Thought everybody went out of business during the Great Depression, but some went into business. Bottom line, there's always depression for some and profit for others, it all starts from having the right mindset. That said, I've set asides part of my savings to invest for future. That is completely false!!! Isn’t this guy supposed to be Einstein of Wall Street or something?? Nowadays the MM is a computer algorithm that is totally automated. It’s not located on the floor either. It’s located at whatever investment bank and clearing house your broker is using. Do you really think that a human being can “make” the market for nearly 20B$ a day distributed over more than 100M individual trades a day??!!??!! In other words, it is literally impossible for a human being to adjust the bid-ask spread for every single trade made each day. Also, institutions who are running the MM computer algorithm that adjusts the bid-ask spread will effectively sweep liquidity as it resets its inventory of whatever asset is being traded, which means that if your stop loss is in that liquidity pool you’re going to get stopped out. That’s why professional traders read the order book and the tape so they know what position is sitting where. This guy is literally Bu**shi*ing right there on the floor. This guy is either straight up stupid or blatantly lying!!!

He lost me on the last part… banks, hedgefunds, and other institutions are counter partying your buys and shorts to offset liquidity. There’s no such thing as buying and selling pressure, only an algorithm that knows what its seeking when it moves.
